TAF Workshop: Matting & Framing
Matting, Mounting, and Framing Workshop
with Ellen Byrnes
Tuesday, November 26, 6:30-8:00pm EST and
Tuesday, December 3, 6:30-8:00pm
at The Arts Federation (638 North Street, Lafayette, IN 47901)
This matting and mounting workshop will cover topics such as: Archival matting and mounting techniques, preservation materials, different methods and materials used in preservative framing. This is a two day course.

Vendors Needed: August Art Fair
TAF is excited to announce the return of the August Art Fair is an outdoor art sale held on the front lawn of the Wells Community Cultural Center.
This year's fair will be held on Friday, August 9, from 6 - 8 PM. Interested artists will need to submit an online application by 5 PM on July 31. Spots will be filled in the order applications are received.

Vendors Needed: Art in the Alley
Attention All Artists & Vendors to sell their Fine arts, fine crafts, foods, produce, and collectibles. PAC is accepting artists & vendors for the ART in the Alley on July 27th. Final Applications are due July 2nd.
12’ x 12’ Booth Fee: $20 for Members, $40 for Non-Members. New vendors must submit a $10 Application Fee with their form. If accepted, they must submit the remaining balance for their booth.
Fiber Fridays: Kumihimo Bracelets
Fiber Artist, Kristi Yapp, will teach students how to make two bracelets on a kumi loom using an ancient, eight string, round Japanese braid. All supplies will be provided. Ages 12+ At the Lilian Fendig Gallery at the Carnegie Building, Rensselaer.
Pysanka Workshop (Ukrainian Easter Eggs)
Sunday, March 10 from 1:00-4:00PM
Taught by Gail Woolever at her Heart to Hand Studio in Wheatfield. Cost of this fun experience is $15. All supplies will be provided. This workshop is limited to 20 participants and you must be at least 12 years old.

Musicians Needed: Rensselaer Farmers Market
The Prairie Arts Council sponsors local musicians at this year’s Saturday Farmer’s Market. Selected musicians can played anytime between 8AM and 11AM on Saturdays in the summer and fall of 2024. Musicians are free to sell CDs and marketing materials and can be reimbursed for travel expenses. Any singers, soloists, or bands can apply. Shelter and electrical access are available.
Call for Entries: INverse Poetry Archive
INverse, an initiative of former Indiana Poet Laureate Adrian Matejka, celebrates and preserves the diverse range of Indiana poetry for future generations of Indiana writers and readers. The works of 57 poets were added to the poetry archive in October 2023.

Call for Entries: Shirley Martin Scholarship
Created in the year 2000, the Shirley Martin Scholarship for Young Songwriters recognizes songwriters between the ages of 14 and 19 years of age who live in NW Indiana. Since its inception, the self-funded, SAMI scholarship has provided an approximate $23,000 back to area youth.

92 County Art Show at the Clark Gallery - Open
Honeywell Arts & Entertainment will accept entries for the annual 92 County Art Show at the Clark Gallery in the Honeywell Center on Monday, December 11, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This competition is open to all artists residing in Indiana. The exhibit will be on display in the Clark Gallery from December 14 through January 14.
2024 Hoosier Women Artists Needed!
Since 2008, the Hoosier Women Artists program has celebrated and further expanded the important role art plays in our communities by showcasing the work of talented female artists throughout the state. Female artists living in Indiana are encouraged to submit artwork for consideration to be displayed in the Statehouse office of a female elected official.
The 2024 Hoosier Women Artists Exhibition is open for submissions through Sunday, November 12, 2023. Interested artists should apply HERE.
Photography Show Sign-Up
Prairie Arts Council invites individuals of all ages to exhibit up to three photographs for an exhibition celebrating the medium of photography. Anyone from the region is welcome to enter their work. Cash awards totaling $475 will be presented to participants.
Entries are due by November 21th.

14th Annual Trail of Scarecrows
Prophetstown State Park invites you to create a one-of-a-kind scarecrow for its 14th Annual Trail of Scarecrows, Oct. 1—Nov. 5.
To enter your scarecrow and receive registration materials, email Jenna Parks Freeman, interpretive naturalist, by Sept. 18.

Open Exhibit - Op. 1 No. 3 - Color of Music
The Arts Council of White Lake – Whitehall, Michigan, invites artists that live in the Great Lakes region aged 18+ to submit artwork for their mixed media art exhibition, June 16 – July 29, 2023. There will be one ACWL-Nuveen Concerto prize - $200 - awarded for outstanding artwork.
Artist Entry - Sixth Annual PAC Member Show
This Exhibit Show is open to member artists of all ages. The exhibition will consist of 2D and 3D work in all media under 50lbs. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist within the last three years. No copy work .
Entry Date Deadline: April 20 @ 6:00PM
Delivery of artwork and fees during gallery hours:
Tuesday April 18, Noon to 4:00 PM or Thursdays April 20, 2:00 to 6:00 PM
Work must be received no later than Thursday April 20 at 6:00 PM.

Request for Artists, Hoosier Historia
Hoosier Historia is a key program of Indianapolis’ hosting NBA All Star 2024. This public art project is dedicated to highlighting key stories of “Indiana’s game”—high school basketball, otherwise known as “Hoosier Hysteria.”
Hoosier artists will be commissioned to paint basketball themed sculptures. Commission Fee: $6,000
Workshop: April 18th
Application Due: May 14th

Lifelong Arts Indiana
Teaching artists can apply to be a part of the Lifelong Arts Indiana Artist Cohort. Selected participants complete a virtual, four-day workshop which explores best practices in creative aging and strategies to develop an effective, sequential arts learning experience for older adults. The deadline to apply for the artist cohort is April 16, 2023.
Aging services providers training participants will be eligible to apply for Lifelong Arts Early Action Grants, which fund a sequential arts-learning experience for a group of older adults in their community. Grants will be for up to $5,000 and must be led by a qualified artist.
