“Celebrating Photography” Open Entry
Prairie Arts Council invites individuals of all ages to exhibit up to three photographs for an exhibition celebrating the medium of photography. It is our privilege to welcome professional photographer, Alan McConnell, who will judge this year’s show and celebrate the most outstanding submissions with monetary awards.

Jasper County Courthouse Student Art Competition
In celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the National Register of Historic Places Jasper County Courthouse, an art competition will allow all Jasper county resident students from K-12 to submit art inspired by the Jasper County Courthouse.

Kids Night at the Rensselaer Farmers Market
Every year, the Rensselaer Farmer’s Market hosts a Kids Night on a Tuesday evening. This year the Prairie Arts Council will be providing some craft activities for children and adults. Including coloring pages and Zentangle papers.

ArtCamp! 2.0 - Paint & Poetry
Paint and play with words in this fun workshop for creative young writers. Explore different forms of poetry and showcase your work with colorful, painted backgrounds. Students will create finished pieces that are both beautiful to the eye and pleasing to the ear with teacher and author Shannon Anderson @ the First Presbyterian Church.

2021 Carnegie Center Art Competition
The Jasper Newton Foundation wants to showcase amazing artists by hosting an inaugural Carnegie Center Art Competition. This contest will allow local and regional artists to submit an original creation representing our historic Carnegie Center.
This contest is free and open to all. The top prize is $500. Artwork must be original and uploaded to our Google Form By September 3rd.

Join us for an afternoon of activities, TieDye, Painting, and Coloring @ Filson Park (223 W Kellner Blvd).

Art in the Alley Vendor Sign-up
Attention All Artists & Vendors to sell their Fine arts, fine crafts, foods, produce, and collectibles. PAC is accepting artists & vendors for the ART FAIR & MARKET. You can download our application and return it to the Prairie Arts Council before the application deadline or apply online.

Artist Entry - Fourth Annual PAC Member Show
This Gallery Show is open to all member artists age 16 and older. The exhibition will consist of two- and three-dimensional work in all media, except floor or ceiling installed work and no video. Wall pieces must be securely wired for hanging and no larger than 48” x 48”. Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32” x 32” x 60” or weigh more than 50 lbs.
All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist within the last three years. No copy work .
Entry Date Deadline:
Tuesday April 6 and Thursday April 8 from Noon to 4:00 PM or Saturday April 10 from 10:00 AM to Noon. You may make other arrangements by contacting the Gallery office. Work must be received no later than Monday April 11.

Wine Label Contest
What: A design challenge to create an original wine label artwork to be featured on the 2021, 8th Edition of Carpenter Creek Cellars Annual Strawberry Wine, celebrating and fundraising for PAC’s Rock the Arts Festival.
Who May Enter : Prairie Arts Council member artists (only) of all ages.
April 1 at 4:00 PM: Deadline to receive artwork in the PAC office.
