Get Together Thursdays is a multi-disciplinary program celebrating music, theater, and the written word. Our cozy gatherings will be held periodically throughout the year on the 4th Thursday of the month. Have you ever wondered why some women in Africa stretch their lips to accommodate wearing a lip plate? Or why the men of some tribes wear elaborate paintings on their bodies? Join us and find out! In February, Susan Chattin will be discussing traditional methods of body art and body modification among various tribes in Ethiopia.
